Or I can change it ’round.
I’ll probably be doing a little of the latter. I’ve been thinking about the beginning I posted yesterday, and based on some feedback (thank you, sweetie) and some thinking, I believe I’ve come up with a way to make the actual “science” in this work of science fiction a little bit clearer.
Thing is, I can’t just come out and explain it. There are two reasons for this. One, exposition can be so very boring. Two, one of my characters is doing the narration, so I can’t have him write or say something he normally wouldn’t.
If anybody else has any thoughts or comments on what I’ve got so far, I’d love to hear from you.

This is the beginning of a first draft of a story I started working on recently. In fact, the entirety of what I have so far was written while driving home from Rhode Island earlier this week. It’s science fiction, a genre I’ve enjoyed reading/watching for a long time but have never really attempted to work within myself. So far, it’s interesting: challenging, but fun.
I haven’t really cleaned this up at all, so it has its problems, especially towards the end. I’m not sure how soon additional installments will come, but I can say that I think it’s probably the first of four or five.
