The Iraqi regime . . . possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons. We know that the regime has produced thousands of tons of chemical agents, including mustard gas, sarin nerve gas, VX nerve gas. -George W. Bush, President

Oh come now, Eric. You know very well that although the US has not found WMDs as such we have found plenty of contraband materials. Further, given the size of the country and the amount of time the search took, who knows what ended up in the hands of other anti-American groups in the region.

Thought: perhaps, if Bush hadn’t threatened Hussein about the WMD, then (if there was any) Hussein would have kept his WMD instead of giving/selling/trading it away.

If there ever was WMD, he was going to get rid of it before the US came in. So, either another nation has more WMD, another nation now has WMD, or some “terrorist” group has it. Because we don’t have it, and we don’t know where it went.

Basically, a bad situation was made much worse (if there ever was WMD).
