Digital Stuff vs Physical Stuff

I think one of the reasons I like computers and technology is the nature of ‘digital stuff’: you can keep getting more and more of it without filling up your room/apartment/house/what-have-you. Now, by ‘digital stuff’ I don’t mean hardware, but software, files, etc. And yes, I know that eventually one would need to get more storage, and that storage of ‘digital stuff’ does take up physical space, but with modern hard-drives and digital media it’s hardly an important consideration.

Compare that with physical stuff, the sort of stuff littering my room. I’ve got too much of it, don’t want to part with it, and have no place to put it. And it keeps accumulating. I can still find what I need and what I want, which is something I can’t always say about my digital stuff, but things would be so much easier if it wasn’t all over my floor, covering my bed, and filling my closet right up to the ceiling. I would gladly spend a little extra time searching for things if things wouldn’t take up so much darn physical space.

Yes, I should be cleaning my room right now.
